Dr. Silverman was recently recognized by Castle Connolly as a Top Doctor for 2014! Less than five percent of the nation’s physicians have earned the Top Doctor distinction for outstanding work in their specialty.
A doctor must receive a nomination from a peer physician during the online nomination process to be eligible for consideration. Castle Connolly scours through tens of thousands of nominations in order to determine who will earn Top Doctor recognition. Some of the criteria used in the selection process include medical education, training, appointment information, and past performance factors
Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.’s President and CEO Dr. John Connolly had this to say about Dr. Silverman’s work as an Orthopedic Surgeon:
“Only a small percent of physicians are selected to be Castle Connolly Top Doctors. Our goal is to make it easier for an average person to find the right doctor for them in what can be an overwhelming process at a difficult time in a person’s life. Dr. Silverman was nominated by Board Certified peers and selected by our research team at Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. Selection is an impressive accomplishment worthy of recognition. My congratulations to Dr. Silverman.”
This is the third year in a row Dr. Silverman has earned the prestigious distinction. Congratulations to Dr. Silverman and the entire staff at Silverman Ankle & Foot.
Dr. Silverman comments
I want to thank Castle Connolly for presenting me with this award, but I also want to thank everyone who made this possible. All my patients, blog readers, friends, coworkers and family have helped me become the doctor I am today, and I am truly blessed to have each and every one of you in my life.
As I’ve said before, doctors don’t enter the medical field for recognition. We just love helping people. Getting a ‘thank you’ or seeing a former patient regain his livelihood because of a procedure you preformed is one of the most rewarding feelings in the world.
I also want to thank my patients for the hard work they put in during rehab and recovery. Very few patients would return to full health by simply staying off their feet after an operation. Surgery is just the first step in recovery, and if patients don’t put in hard work after they leave my office, they may never fully heal. Without patients with a hard work ethic and a desire to return to pre-injury form, I may never have received this award.
Finally, thank you to my family and coworkers. Without you none of this would be possible.
