Our Hearts to Your Soles 2018 is tomorrow! We can’t believe it either. We’re busy squaring away final details for the event, but we couldn’t be more excited. We have a little more information to share about the event in regards to transportation and parking, and we’ll also run through the event details one more time. Finally, we’re still looking for volunteers, so if you want to help any time between 1:30 and 7:30, please contact Rachel at rachel@anklefootmd.com.

Our Hearts To Your Soles 2018 will take place tomorrow, November 20th from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Catholic Charities Opportunity Center, located at 740 East 17th Street in Minneapolis. Free parking is available at Greenway Surgery Center, which is located at 2020 East 28th Street in Minneapolis, and we will have shuttles running to and from the event every half hour.
Every year, Our Hearts To Your Soles provides footwear and free health screenings to individuals in our community who may not otherwise have access to these options. Besides a free foot exam and a free pair of shoes, a number of businesses and professionals provide services of their own, all free of charge. For example, we’ve had lawyers come in and provide free legal advice in our Ask A Lawyer booth, and we’ve also had medical professionals from nearby medical centers come in and provide health screenings and administer free flu shots in the past. We’ve also given out hygiene packs, socks, gloves, hats and provided answers to any health questions attendees might have. It’s a truly wonderful event, and we expect this year to be one of the best.
As we mentioned in the intro, we’re still looking for volunteers, so if you’re free tomorrow and want to help give back to those in your community who need it most, please reach out to Rachel at rachel@anklefootmd.com to coordinate a time when you could volunteer. Every year I’m blown away by how many people come out to help with this event, and it’s a great way to give back around the Thanksgiving holiday.
