We’re excited to announce that Silverman Ankle & Foot will once again be partnering with the Hearts To Soles program to bring you the 13th annual “Our Hearts To Your Soles” celebration here in the Twin Cities. Read on to learn more about the event and how you can get involved.
Our Hearts To Your Soles is an annual event that provides shoes, socks, personal hygiene kits, flu shots, cold weather gear and professional foot exams to homeless and financially burdened individuals in the area, all without charge. This is the thirteenth year that Dr. Silverman has been involved in the event, and it seems to get bigger and better every year. Here are the details for the 2019 event.
What: Our Hearts To Your Soles 2019
When: Tuesday, November 26 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Where: Dorothy Day Center in St. Paul, located at 422 Dorothy Day Place in St. Paul, MN, 55102
The goal of the annual Our Hearts to Your Soles event is to give back to those in our community who need it most. Silverman Ankle & Foot provides the financial backing for the event, but we couldn’t pull it off without help from other wonderful sponsors. Red Wing Shoes, Superfeet, Good 360, Minnesota Prosthetics and Orthotics, Schuler Shoes and the Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis all donate products, services and most importantly, their time to help make the yearly event a success.
If you would like to donate products that you think may be useful at the event, or you’re interested in volunteering, please contact Rachel at rachel@anklefootmd.com. We are still looking for volunteers to help unbox shoes, direct attendees and provide general assistance as the event unfolds. We could also use help with set up and clean up, so if you can’t stay for the whole event, we’re taking volunteers both before and after the two-hour event.
