Our Hearts To Your Soles 2024 is less than a week away! Come out to the Catholic Charities St. Paul Opportunity Center and Dorothy Day Residence this Saturday for another wonderful event!
This year’s event will take place Saturday, November 23 from 1:00-4:00 p.m, and we can’t wait to see you this weekend. As a reminder, Our Hearts To Your Soles is a way to give back to homeless and financially burdened members of our community. At the event, we provide attendees with a number of essential goods and services ahead of another Minnesota winter, including:
- Red Wing boots
- Socks
- Hygiene kits
- Foot exams
- Flu shots
- Professional legal advice
- And much more
All of these items and services are free to attendees thanks to donations from local businesses and efforts from volunteers from across the state. We’re going to be putting together a full list of the businesses and organizations who helped with the event in our recap blog, but for now we just want to say thank you to everyone who has helped get us one step closer to our goal.
Saturday should be another amazing event, and it will be the 17th year that Dr. Silverman and the team at Silverman Ankle & Foot will be involved in the Twin Cities event. Silverman Ankle & Foot is providing the financial backing for the event, and we’ll also be there on Saturday making sure that everything runs smoothly.
Of course, the event is nothing without the contributions of so many wonderful volunteers who assist throughout the event, and we’re still in need of volunteers, so please reach out if you or your organization is willing to help on Saturday. We are looking for volunteers for these two shifts:
Shift 1 – 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Shift 2 – 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
