Dr. Silverman also believes that each patient is unique and requires a tailored approach specific to their particular situation. In addition to taking the time to talk in-depth with his patients, he conducts a full musculoskeletal exam and thoroughly evaluates patient history and imaging films to arrive at a complete understanding of the situation. With some, he will exhaust all appropriate nonsurgical options. With others, he will offer quicker correction through surgery. He excels in his ability to get to the heart of the problem and return people to normal function.
You can be assured Dr. Silverman has the experience and expertise you are seeking. Since 2001 he’s performed literally hundreds of surgeries each year. A typical week for him might involve stabilizing ankle ligaments, fixing failed bunion surgeries, and repairing and replacing tendons, cartilage and joints.

Dr. Silverman has lectured around the country to health care providers and the public. He has been a featured speaker at large academic institutions, university and private hospitals, clinics, and community health care forums. He provides continuing education to fellow physicians and surgeons, lawyers, nurses, and physical therapists. It is not surprising that these and other health care professionals trust their families and themselves to his care for foot and ankle problems.
Dr. Silverman’s medical credentials are extensive. After five years of orthopedic training, he completed an intensive year of sub-specialty fellowship training in the management of foot and ankle disorders. He also holds Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery: a premier measure of respect for his clinical and surgical skills from the senior members of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
