Happy New Year! 2023 is off and running, but before we officially put a bow on 2022, we want to take a look back at some of our favorite stories and blogs from the last year. Below, you’ll find a list of our five favorite foot-related blogs from this past year.
Our Favorite Blog Posts In 2022
Let’s take a look back at the year that was and showcase five of our favorite blog posts from 2022.
5. The Return Of Our Hearts To Your Soles – After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were overjoyed to be able to once again help give back to the community through the annual Our Hearts To Your Soles event. Hundreds of financially-burdened individuals in our community were able to get new socks, new shoes, medical exams, hygiene kits, legal advice and so much more, all free of charge, at the event. We can’t wait for Our Hearts To Your Soles 2023.
4. The Henry Zietlow Challenge – As we documented in that blog post, Henry Zietlow was an avid workout enthusiast who passed away in a car accident at the age of 19. During the month of February, members at The Power House honored Henry by participating in a month-long rowing challenge. Dr. Silverman and others at The Power House helped to keep Henry’s legacy alive by participating in the marathon row event.
3. Remembering Dr. Lamar Fleming – Dr. Lamar Fleming passed away in August at the age of 83, and his work and his time as the president of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society had a profound impact on Dr. Silverman. He’ll be remembered as someone who said what needed to be said to the patient, and that’s something Dr. Silverman strives to do with each of his patients, which can be a delicate road to navigate.
2. Dr. Silverman Presents At HAOST – Dr. Silverman was fortunate enough to be able to present to a global audience at the 77th Annual Congress of the Hellenic Association of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology in Greece. He spoke about social media and how doctors can use it to connect with new patients and expand their reach. He also took in a number of seminars and learned new surgical techniques that have made him a better surgeon for his patients.
1. Dr. Silverman Named A Top Doc – Finally, we were excited to be informed that Dr. Silverman was named a Top Doctor for the year of 2022 by Minnesota Monthly. Dr. Silverman was named a Top Doctor in 2021, and he worked hard to maintain his spot on that list in 2022. You can bet he’ll do everything in his power to end up on this list again in 2023!
Thanks to all our readers for a great year, and we look forward to another wonderful year of providing care and sharing helpful tips on our blog!
