*UPDATE – We are no longer offering virtual visits, as they are no longer covered by insurance*
Silverman Ankle & Foot is pleased to announce that we are now offering telemedicine consultations. These virtual visits will allow patients to connect with a physician and receive diagnostic and treatment recommendations from the comfort of their own home. Apple Valley Virtual Appointments
If you are interested in scheduling a virtual visit with Dr. Silverman, you can set one up in just a few minutes by calling our office at (952) 224-8500. We can answer any questions you may have during this call.
We also offer telephone consultations, but for new patients, it works best if we can see the patient. To conduct your virtual visit, you will need one of the following options.
- A smartphone with video capabilities
- Laptop or desktop computer with webcam
We are offering virtual appointments to both new and existing patients in order to diagnose and treat both acute or chronic conditions. For patients who normally visit Silverman Ankle & Foot at our Edina clinic, we are performing these virtual visits with the assistance of the Zoom app. For patients who we see at Apple Valley Medical Center, we are using the MyChart system. You can also call our office at (952) 224-8500 for assistance scheduling a virtual visit or for help preparing for an online consultation. We know that this is a new system, so we are here to answer any questions you might have.
Most major insurance companies cover telemedicine consultations, but we are asking patients to check with their provider if they have questions as to the cost of a virtual visit. Typically they are the same price or less expensive than an in-office visit, but your insurance provider can give you more specifics.
We are hoping that these virtual visits will continue to allow us to provide the best care to our patients in these ever-changing times. Thank you for your patience as we work together to find new ways to care for our patients.
Best,
Dr. Lance Silverman
