Last week Silverman Ankle & Foot sponsored a fundraising event for Jack Jablonski—the Minnesota teen recently paralyzed from a hockey accident.
The event was a pizza party and skating event for the Minneapolis Storm (Upper Mite) Division – Team Canucks, for whom Dr. Silverman’s son plays hockey. This is the same league Jablonski played in when he was younger.
It was a fantastic event. The kids skated, ate pizza, cake, and ice cream, and honored Jack Jablonski.
Silverman Ankle & Foot agreed to match all donations made to the Jack Jablonski fund on the day of the event. Donations totaled $239, Silverman Ankle & Foot matched that and then some. In all, $500 was donated to Jabby 13.
“It’s going to be a long, tough road for Jack and his family,” says Dr. Silverman. “Many challenges both physical and psychological lie ahead. Help from the community is going to be essential. We are glad to lend a hand at the start.”
