The anterior cruiciate ligament is one of the more vital ligaments in you knee. The ligament is most often injured during athletics or exercise, and even minor injuries to the ACL usually mean you’ll have to avoid certain activities for a short duration while it heals. For more extreme injuries like a complete tear of the ligament, surgery may be needed.
Today, with the assistance of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, we want to take a look at the two common forms of treatment for stable and unstable ACL injuries. Below is an infographic from the AAOS that discusses management options based on the severity of your ACL injury, and it explains some of the typical medical costs, which may be partially or fully covered by your insurance. Check it out below!
